Sermorelin (GRF 1–29 NH₂) is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the first 29 amino acids of endogenous human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). As a GHRH receptor agonist, sermorelin stimulates the physiological secretion of growth hormone from anterior pituitary somatotrophs. Published research has investigated its effects on somatotropic axis function, pulsatile GH release patterns, IGF-1 signaling, and age-related changes in neuroendocrine regulation. It has also been studied in the context of sleep architecture and body composition research models.
